# Wallet and portfolio

The wallet view summarizes your Lighter account and open-position exposure.

### Core metrics

| Metric            | Meaning                                    |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Total equity      | Collateral plus unrealized profit and loss |
| Available balance | Collateral available for new positions     |
| Margin used       | Collateral allocated to open positions     |
| Unrealized PnL    | Live profit or loss across open positions  |

Available balance can change with prices, leverage, funding, and open orders. Do not treat it as a fixed cash balance.

### Portfolio summary

The dashboard aggregates realized PnL, open positions, total trades, win rate, and agent-attributed trades. Realized PnL reflects closed positions. Unrealized PnL remains subject to mark-price movement.

### Exposure review

Review correlated positions together. For example, long BTC-PERP and long COIN-PERP can share crypto-market exposure. Multiple similar positions can increase portfolio risk despite separate stop losses.

Use conservative sizing when margin use is already elevated.
