# Agent position management

The **Positions** view refreshes frequently and shows live mark-based PnL. It provides visibility into agent-managed and manually opened positions.

### Position fields

Each row displays the symbol, side, leverage, size, entry price, mark price, protection levels, and unrealized PnL.

Unrealized PnL for a USD-sized position is estimated as:

unrealized PnL = side multiplier × (mark price − entry price)
                 / entry price × position size

side multiplier = +1 for long, −1 for short
```

### Automated position actions

* **Open:** the agent enters when analysis and risk validation align.
* **Protect:** the agent maintains stop-loss and take-profit logic.
* **Reduce or close:** the agent exits when its strategy or risk conditions apply.

Partial closes reduce exposure while preserving the remaining position. The agent may reduce exposure when its management logic requires it.

### Manual controls

You can manually close all or part of any open position. You can also update its take-profit or stop-loss levels. Use reduce-only behavior for manual exits when you must avoid increasing or reversing exposure.

### Liquidation

Liquidation is possible when losses approach your isolated margin. The shown liquidation price is an estimate. Fees, funding, and execution conditions can affect the actual outcome.

A stop loss does not guarantee a specific fill price during fast markets. Maintain margin headroom and avoid relying on liquidation as an exit.
